Acro FAQs

  • Acro combines casual partner acrobatics with healing therapeutics.

Focusing on the social connections and taking influences from yoga, Thai massage, and other disciplines, acroyoga provides an approachable entry point to acrobatic arts with a wide breadth of content. In addition to some counterbalances and standing poses, most acroyoga takes place with the base laying down “L-basing”.

  • While it is an advantage to know some yoga, it is not a requirement. Acro yoga is a mix of acrobatics and yoga. Just bring an open mind and your fun self.

  • Nope! You have the option to come with one, though, like with yoga, it is not a requirement! If you are more comfortable with someone familiar, you are more than welcome to. In most classes and jams, partners rotate throughout. Changing partners help us to get used to different bodies and develop new skills.

  • All the classes listed are all levels and. beginner friendly unless otherwise mentioned.

The Sunday donation-based class is a great way to get introduced to the practice and see if you like it! It’s followed by a jam where you can try out your new skills and meet a lot of the people in our community.

  • Most folks wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move, similar to yoga clothing. Try to avoid jewelry and extra fabric that can get caught while you’re moving around!
